Psychotherapy

Psychotherapeutic Counselling

At times we can become stuck in old habits, patterns, and fears that do not serve us anymore and get in the way of authentic and meaningful connection with ourselves and others, keeping us from feeling inner peace and happiness. My aim is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can process issues, explore a deeper sense of self and gain insights in order to accomplish your goals. Using a holistic, client-centred and collaborative approach, I will support you to make sense of your current situation, skilfully navigate through the difficulties that life sometimes brings, and connect with your resiliency for emotional and spiritual wellbeing whether you choose in person or online sessions.

Telehealth is a fairly new concept in the UK, even though it has been used with a high rate of success in the US in the past 15 years. Research shows that it can be just as efficient as in person counselling. Zoom and telephone sessions are charged at a discounted rate and often the only options for people who do not want to compromise on the level of service but simply do not have the time to travel. We only ask that you ensure that during your session you are in a place where you feel safe and comfortable with as little distraction as possible - whether that means having the session from the comfort of your own home or taking a walk in the park

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy which works with different parts of the client’s mind in order to create a change and improve wellbeing. It works with the subconscious to make life changes, break habits, reduce anxiety and emotional baggage. Please note that clinical hypnosis is very different from stage hypnosis- it is pure relaxation to create wellbeing and balance - no stageshow tricks! As with psychotherapy, the length of hypnosis treatment varies, depending on the issue. Clinical hypnotherapy is performed in a calm, therapeutic environment, using a number of different techniques. The therapist will guide you into a relaxed, focused state and ask you to think about experiences and situations in positive ways that can help you change the way you think and behave. Unlike some dramatic portrayals of hypnosis in movies, books, or on stage, you will not be unconscious, asleep, or in any way out of control of yourself. You will hear the therapist’s suggestions, but it is up to you to decide whether or not to act on them. It is often the case that we know what we want to change in our life but there are many limiting beliefs deeply buried in our subconscious mind. The aim of hypnotherapy is to try and pass the Critical Conscious Faculty of the mind and provide your subconscious with suggestions that can be accepted and implemented in your daily life in order to change your mindset and habits.

Head Massage

Indian head massage

This ancient massage technique relieves symptoms of depression and anxiety through relaxation. Renewal and balancing of energy levels is achieved by working with the three higher chakras and quieting the mind. The technique prevents headaches and migraines by releasing built-up tension in the head and neck area and relieving muscle stiffness. (when making a booking please bear in mind that although Indian head massage is great at preventing migraines, for health and safety reasons it cannot be performed during a migraine)
